I was nervous to start doing PT as I had never been much of a gym goer. But Martyn put me at ease, explained all the exercises and the benefits and we got to work. I had major reservations on using a trainer due to breast cancer and fibromyalgia but my son insisted I would like Martyn, and that he would understand. I was struggling with my strength before but Martyn has known the areas to work on and our sessions have worked wonders (without me realising). The best motivator ever!! I Would absolutely recommend Martyn but equally don’t want to share him too much.
I've had PTs before who never tracked my exercises, so each session I wouldn’t know if I was actually improving or not. I was worried this would be the same experience. I have lost 20kg so far, Martyn has tracked every session from day one so we can see my progress. My physique has massively changed and I feel so much more confident in my own skin. I wouldn’t recommend any other PT, he is the only person I have seen real sustained results with and it’s transformed how i feel about myself.
Worried it would be a one size fits all approach with dull options and low calories that would end in me binging. I am now down to my pre baby weight, eating more than I ever have when counting calories and never restricting certain foods. My relationship with food has changed for the better and I now feel confident when I have a relaxed few days eating that I can get back on track with the right tools in place.
Martyn is contactable, honest and makes nutrition and online support really straightforward, I would absolutely recommend him.
I didn’t really have any hesitations going to Martyn for PT, I had heard good things coming through a previous clients referral so I was confident I would get what I wanted from it, my only concern was timing wise, I had been working out from home for 3 years due to being a single mum and running a business so time was an issue but Martyn was responsive to that need and helped me plan my training sessions in the short space of time I had.
My main goal was to build muscle which I certainly have along with lifting heavier and getting stronger, progressing month on month. My life can be hectic so on those weeks it prevents me from going as much to the gym, Martyn always supports that which I always appreciate. 100% would recommend, I already do, I’m a huge believer in working muscles as well as the mind and believe Martyn’s PT sessions and his gym provide both! Highly recommend!
8aHe is a cheeky chap with ‘banter’ but I love the fact he can’t actually hide that he cares. He does listen and does understand life’s struggles, but also tries to push you to your potential. When I started with Martyn, I was pregnant and transferring from another PT. So it was a double cautious approach a) finding someone who I could train with and b) someone who knew how to train a pregnant woman but now I am two Kiddos down we are still going strong. 💪🏻
The main hesitation I had before joining was the fact I had never been near a gym before but was put at ease very quickly and given advice on what to do from Martyn and a programme to get me started.
